Ruakaka school

Completed in 2019 this new Library, multipurpose classroom and changing rooms has become the hub of Ruakaka School.

 

Designed to maximise flexibility through the use of a portal frame structure the building allows a truly open internal environment and has numerous uses including garden to table, cooking classes, music lessons, classroom activities, library and reading as well as after school care.

 

Ensuring a low maintenance structure was a key component of the schools’ design brief and was a driving force between using a cladding material such as Trespa, combined with a colorsteel roof and PVC spouting and downpipes the maintenance required will be kept to a bear minimum.
