Forest House
Located deep within a native bush setting this new three level family home was designed to embrace the tree setting from all heights - the trunks, within the branches, and in the treetops. Facing North but within a tight opening in the foliage, the aim was to maximise the sunlight through careful orientation and positioning of the building, ensuring plenty of natural light filtered into all parts of the home (even in winter) varying sized windows capture and frame the scenes beyond. The middle level truly feels like a treehouse within the branches and holds the living of the home - kitchen, dining and lounge are all open plan with staircase, laundry, bathroom, main entry and storage carefully arranged to maximise views. The kids bedrooms, rumpus room and bathroom are featured below and the main bedroom, bathroom and spare bedroom above.
