Spreading across two sites the Northern Funeral Services building was designed around an existing chapel which established the location and floor height of the surrounding development. The building incorporates a large double slab mortuary, fitted out to autopsy standards, subtly located within the private working areas at the rear of the building. The public face of the building includes a 100-seat chapel with overflow capacity accommodated in the lobby and under the Porte Cochere. A glazed Southern Chapel wall allows soft natural light in and restful views out into the garden areas. A welcoming reception lobby on the North side of the building leads on to tastefully appointed arrange, viewing and dressing rooms. The building has provided a much-needed Funeral facility for the Mid Northland region.
